How To Add Sitemap and Sitemap Pages To Google Search Console


The dream of a new blogger is to see his or her blog on search engines like Yahoo, bing and Google and this will be enhanced by a tough Seo you applied to your blog. One of the SEO tips I have is adding Sitemap pages to Google Search consoles.

Adding a Sitemap and Sitemap pages to your Google Search console will enable google index your blog post along side with your static pages to help you hight rank on Google Search., Increase Pageviews and traffics, reduces bounce rate.


In this post, I will teach you how add your Sitemap and Sitemap pages to Google Search console with ease. Byt before this, you must have added your website url to Google Webmaster tool because without this, you won't be able to add these Sitemaps.



How To Add Sitemap and Sitemap Pages To Google Search Console 

Adding Sitemap 

Step 1 : Go to your Google Search Console
Step 2 : Tap your blog URL.
Step 3 : Click "Crawls" from the optionz then click "Sitemap" from the drop down options.
Step 4 : On the Sitemap page, click "Add/Test Sitemap"
Step 5 : On the pop up page, you will see your blog URL with an empty box. In that empty box, input sitemap.xml as shown below



Step 6 : Then click "Submit" to submit for indexing.


Adding Sitemap Pages 

Step 1 : Go to your Google Search Console
Step 2 : Tap your blog URL.
Step 3 : Click "Crawls" from the optionz then click "Sitemap" from the drop down options.
Step 4 : On the Sitemap page, click "Add/Test Sitemap"
Step 5 : On the pop up page, you will see your blog URL with an empty box. In that empty box, input sitemap-pages.xml as shown below


Step 6 : Then click "Submit" to submit for indexing.


Finally, you have successfully added to it sitemap and sitemap pages to Google Search console for indexing. It might take few weeks to get fully index by Google and changes will be made to your blog.
